Yuki Hime “Snow Princess” Story

Yuki was found by another rescue through animal services. She was discovered in a backyard breeding/hoarding situation in Orange County after neighbors complained about constant crying coming from the back of the property. Yuki was living with her mother, father, 4 siblings and a pig in a small, cramped pig pen. There was no real food and they were caked in mud and their own feces. On top of that there was also a half-eaten goat leg rotting away with them.

Yuki came to us in Feb 2019. Even with her large size, she was constantly hiding, so scared, extremely anxious and did not trust men at all (due to being abused by a man that ran the operation). But through years of patience, love, compassion and one-on-one attention, she has slowly become confident, less timid, more trusting and growing out of her shell each and every day. She is now a very happy girl who enjoys watching squirrels and neighbor dogs, as well as playing tag!
